A29 Metro Center-Alexandria W
The A29 operates between Metro Center Station and Van Dorn St Station. Service runs only on weekdays during morning and evening rush hours (runs in one direction per rush hour). It connects Van Dorn St Station, West Alexandria Transit Center, Beauregard St, Mark Center, Southern Towers, and Shirlington to Metro Center Station in downtown Washington, DC. The route provides service for commuters in west Alexandria and south Arlington to access Washington, DC without the need for transfers. The Northern Virginia Transportation Commission funds the route through its I-395/95 Commuter Choice grant program.
